This achievement marks a milestone at a national level, making it the fourth project in Spain and the seventh in Europe to attain this recognition.
This effort to create sustainable facilities has been rewarded. The District Show congress, held in Barcelona between 20 and 22 September, recognised the Newdock Fahala Logistics Park with The Best Real Estate Investment Destination award. The main reason for awarding this prize to our centre in Cártama is the fact it has achieved LEED® Platinum certification.

Newdock’s commitment to sustainability is not limited to environmental measures, but also includes the well-being of people. The offices within Newdock Fahala are equipped to achieve the prestigious WELL® certification, ensuring a healthy working environment and contributing to attracting and retaining talent.
“LEED® certification is widely recognised as the leading standard for energy-efficient buildings,” says Antonio Ruiz, Newdock’s director of design and sustainability. Since its development by the US Green Building Council in 1993, this certification has gained widespread consensus in the marketplace, endorsing buildings that meet the highest standards of eco-efficiency and sustainability. There currently exist more than 14,000 LEED-certified buildings worldwide, though very few have achieved the coveted Platinum rating, the highest of all LEED-certified buildings.
